NEXGO Konect Privacy Policy
Who we are and what this covers
NEXGO Konect Private Limited ("NEXGO", "we", "us") runs a subscription shared shuttle service connecting residential communities and workplaces in Bengaluru to metro stations. This policy explains what personal data we collect from riders, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It applies to everything you use to book or ride with NEXGO: our WhatsApp booking number +91 7019136602, our website nexgo.co.in, and any forms or links we send you. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Under that law, NEXGO is the Data Fiduciary for your data and you are the Data Principal.
By messaging our WhatsApp number and tapping "I Agree" at signup, you consent to the use of your data as described here. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Your rights).

We collect only what we need to run your rides safely and bill you correctly.

We do not collect your card number, UPI PIN or bank details. You enter these only on the payment gateway's secure page or in your own UPI app, and they never reach us. We do not track your location. We do not collect Aadhaar, caste, religion, health or financial information.
Why we use it
We use your data only for the purposes below. We rely on your consent for each one, except where the law lets us process data without it (for example, to comply with a legal duty or respond to a medical emergency).
- Running your service. Registering you, assigning your boarding point, confirming seats, sending pickup reminders, and handling skips, freezes and no-shows under the NEXGO Ride Policy.
- Safety. Verifying who boards using boarding codes, running safe-drop checks, responding to SOS alerts, and contacting your emergency contact if you cannot be reached after an incident.
- Payments. Issuing passes, tracking payment status, sending receipts and processing refunds.
- Support. Answering questions and resolving complaints, including a call from the driver or our team if you are not at your boarding point.
- Service planning. Deciding where to add routes, timings and vans. We use grouped, anonymised trip counts for this wherever possible.
- Service updates. Route changes, delays, holiday schedules and policy changes. We send promotional messages only if you opt in, and you can stop them at any time.
- Legal compliance. Keeping records required under tax, transport and other Indian laws, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising profiles. We use the content of your WhatsApp messages only to run the service for you, never for an unrelated purpose.
WhatsApp and Meta
Our booking system runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms. When you message us, your messages pass through WhatsApp's systems before they reach us.
- WhatsApp messages are encrypted in transit. Meta's handling of the data it processes is governed by the WhatsApp Privacy Policy (whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy) and Meta's business terms, not by this policy.
- We only receive what you send to our business number, plus your WhatsApp display name and phone number. We cannot see your other chats, contacts or status.
- We use WhatsApp only to deliver the service: confirmations, reminders, safety alerts and replies. Promotional messages go out only if you opted in.
- To stop promotional messages, reply STOP at any time. You can also tell us by phone or email, and we will honour your request however you make it. You will still get messages needed for an active pass (such as safety alerts and payment receipts) until you cancel it.
Our WhatsApp number is run by an automated assistant for bookings and updates. To reach a person, call +91 9845962251. Read our Terms of Use for the rules of the service.
To delete your data, email or call the Grievance Officer below. We confirm deletion within 30 days, keeping only records the law requires.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data each party needs, and only for the purposes above.
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your assigned driver and van operator | First name, phone number, boarding point and trip status, for your booked trips only | To pick you up and to call you if you are not at the boarding point. Drivers may use your number only for this and must not save, share or use it for anything else. |
| Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) | Messages exchanged with our number | To deliver messages |
| Our payment gateway (an RBI-authorised provider such as PayU) | Name, phone, email, amount | To process payments and refunds |
| Cloud hosting and database providers | All stored data | To run our system |
| Route-mapping service | Map coordinates of stops and of the van only. No names, phone numbers or other personal details. | To show the driver the route to the next pickup |
| Our technology contractors | Access under written confidentiality terms, only as needed to build and maintain the system | System upkeep |
| Your RWA or employer | Whether your pass is active and seat usage counts | Only if they arranged or pay for your pass |
| Emergency services, police, hospitals | Details needed to respond | In an emergency, or when legally required |
| Government authorities | What the law requires | Legal compliance |
Every service provider that processes data for us (a Data Processor) works under a contract that limits use to our instructions. If NEXGO is merged or acquired, your data may pass to the new owner under this same policy, and we will tell you first.
Location and safety
We do not track your location. When you sign up, we send you the location pin of your boarding point so you can find it. If you share a location pin with us, we use it once to suggest the nearest boarding point, then keep only the boarding point.
Van location during a trip. While a trip is running, the driver's phone shares the van's position with us. We use it to show you where your van is on a tracking link we send you for that trip, to estimate arrival times, and for safety. The link shows only the van's position and the time it was last updated. It does not show other riders or the driver's details, and it stops working shortly after the trip ends. We keep van positions only as long as needed for these purposes, and then delete them.
- Boarding codes. Each ride uses a code to confirm the right person boarded the right van. Your code is shown only to you, in the ride message we send. The driver does not see it and confirms it by choosing from three options. Codes are logged with the time.
- Safe-drop check. After your drop, we may ask you to confirm you reached safely. If you don't respond and an incident is suspected, our team may call you or your emergency contact.
- SOS. When you press SOS, we record the time and your trip details and alert our operations team. In a real emergency we may share these with police or medical services without waiting for further consent, as the law allows. SOS is not a replacement for emergency services. In an emergency, call 112 first.
Payments
All payments are handled by an RBI-authorised payment gateway, currently PayU. You enter your card details, UPI PIN or bank login only on the gateway's secure page or in your own UPI app. We never see or store them. We receive only a transaction ID, amount, status and the payment method type. Never share your UPI PIN, OTP or card details in a chat with anyone claiming to be NEXGO.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active, then delete or anonymise it on the schedule below.
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Profile and commute details | Until you close your account, then deleted within 30 days |
| Trip, boarding and access logs | 1 year after the trip, as Indian data protection rules require |
| Safety and incident records | 1 year, or longer if an incident is under investigation or in dispute |
| Payment and invoice records | As long as tax and accounting law requires |
| WhatsApp chat history | 1 year after your last message |
| Waitlist entries | 12 months, or until we launch in your area and you decide whether to sign up |
If you have no active pass and have not interacted with us for 12 months, we will message you and then delete your data at least 48 hours later unless you reply. Anonymised trip counts that cannot identify you may be kept for planning.
Where your data is processed
Some of our service providers, including Meta (WhatsApp) and our cloud storage provider, may store or process data on servers outside India. When this happens, we follow the safeguards and any restrictions set by Indian law.
How we protect it
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers using encryption, access controls and activity logs.
- Only staff and contractors who need data for their role can access it, through individual logins. Access is logged and reviewed.
- All accounts, servers and code belong to NEXGO, not to individual contractors.
- Drivers see only what they need for your booked trips.
If a breach affects your data, we will inform you through WhatsApp or email without delay, explaining what happened, the likely impact and what you can do. We will also report it to the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Your rights
You can exercise any of these rights by emailing or calling the Grievance Officer below. We will respond within 30 days.
- Access. Get a summary of the data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
- Correction. Fix or update anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete your data. We will delete it within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep (such as payment and tax records) and records needed for an open complaint or dispute. Copies of chats on your phone or held by WhatsApp are controlled by WhatsApp, not by us.
- Withdraw consent. Stop us using your data at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing ends your pass, since we cannot run rides without it. Anything done before withdrawal stays valid.
- Nominate. Name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
- Complain. Raise a grievance with us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Riders under 18
NEXGO is meant for riders aged 18 and above. A rider under 18 can be registered only by a parent or legal guardian, who gives consent on their behalf and whose identity we verify before activating the pass. We do not track, profile or send promotional messages to anyone under 18. If we learn a minor signed up without guardian consent, we will pause the pass and delete their data.
Contact and Grievance Officer
For any question, request or complaint about your data, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
